POSTDOCTORAL POSITION IN MOLECULAR NEUROSCIENCE
Division of Neuroscience, Baylor College of Medicine.
An NIH-funded position is available now to study the structure and function
of metabotropic glutamate receptors. The laboratory has state of the art
facilities to carry out detailed molecular, biochemical and
electrophysiological analysis. Some current projects include studies of
receptor topology, mechanism of receptor desensitization, and patch clamp
analysis of metabotropic glutamate receptor function in hippocampus and
spinal cord slice and culture preparations. For more information on the lab,
see our web site at http://sensor.bcm.tmc.edu/robg. Ph.D. or equivalent is
required. Some knowledge of cell biology, biochemistry and neuroscience is a
must, and experience with electrophysiology or molecular biology is
preferable.
