Atheism is not a cause, nor is it a system of beliefs so it does not
meet you definition.
Atheism is the lack of theistic beliefs, nothing more, nothing less.
There are no rules to atheists, no belief system to conform to and
this is specially true if you are an implicit atheist i.e. never was
exposed for religion.
It is just a way of grouping people that do not have a religion.
