ALS Survival Guide at www.lougehrigsdisease.net

The ALS Survival Guide is a nonprofit website designed to assist those
suffering from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, also known as Motor
Neurone Disease (MND) and Lou Gehrig's Disease. Comprehensive topics
include: news, research, treatments, adaptive equipment, legal and
financial advice, support group, useful links, patient advocacy,
reader tips, guest speaker, ALS dictionary, and references. The site
also tracks the author's own ongoing battle with ALS, and includes his
thoughts and feelings expressed in his journal and editorial page.

People with ALS include astrophysicist Steven Hawking, former baseball
star Catfish Hunter, and daytime television star Michael Zaslow who
recently died from the disease. Often described as one of the world's
worst diseases, ALS causes gradual paralysis and death usually in 2-5
years. The ALS Survival Guide offers hope to all PALS (Persons with
ALS,) their caregivers, and their families.
