I would appreciate some input frome those of you involved in basic science
We have seen a patient with severe bradycardia induced by intermittent
photic stimulation. This is called neurocardiogenic syncope or reflex anoxic
seizure. I have not been able to fined any reference pointing to the
relationship between visual stimuli (sudden changes in luminance) and vagus.
The patient acually lost consciousness at the end of the procedure and
before that happened, each time light stim was set on a sudden bradycardia
Would appreciate your ideas or references.
