Decussation's Topology

I guess I missed some precious stuff while away at the Society for
Neuroscience meeting (a full week because I left early to attend a
satellite conference preceding SFN).

How did NYAS get dragged into this ridiculous mess? If this stands for
The New York Academy of Sciences, I am deeply offended. As an active
member of NYAS (holding more than one Section Chairmanship, co-editing
two NYAS Annals volumes--and another one in preparation) I can reassure
newsgroup readers that while this fellow is free to attend Academy
presentations, and even to raise questions from the floor afterwards,
there is no danger that he will be invited to make a presentation
there.
