"Funny you should ask"... what's referred to a "boredom" is an affective correlate of
the supersystem-reconfiguration that accompanies TD E/I(up) "saturation" (it's
briefly discussed in AoK, Ap8... "the grapes must not be sweet, anyway" (paraphrase,
