I wonder if the papers on "structured water" might be derived from the
well-meaning but flawed research in the Soviet Union some years ago that
resulted in the announcement of polymerized water, or polywater for short.
This was sort of a sticky H2O that turned out to have been an artifact of
the contamination of the equipment.
Kurt Vonnegut used the concept in a novel.
