Weak criterion.  Anybody can publish a book.  Publishers aim at
dollars, not truth.  Although not perfect, better criterion is
"published in a JOURNAL"  (i.e., a PEER-REVIEWED JOURNAL).

Nor do those in bionet.neuroscience; but I have left this in the
address box after deleting all others because of the GESTURE towards 
relevance implied by the reference to "neocortex"...
