I assume that you are referring to the animal's health. We
use halothane and it is fine. I understand that it
accumulates in the body more over time than do other
"better" gaseous anaesthetics. In theory this makes it less
rapidly recoverable, but we often run experiments for 3 days
and have not had problems.
