Your question has nothing mysterious. It goes back to a well known primary
reflex which is well-known in de newborn baby and is called : "the photic
sneeze reflex"-According to R.S. Illingworth, former Professor of pediatrics
, University of Sheffield (now deceased), in his book :The development of
the infant and the young child (Churchill Livingstone, 1975) :"it consist of
a sneeze when a bright light is shone into the eyes". The sun is surely such
a light.
An extended article was written by Anderson RB, Rosenblith JF (1968):Photic
Sneeze reflex in the human newborn - Developm. Psychobiology, 1, 65.
Surely any textbook on neuropaediatrics will contain further information.
