sneezing in the sun?

Hi Matthias,
I always sneeze in bright sunlight. I read somewhere that this phenomenon is
more common amongst people of Scandinavian origin. Perhaps my Scottish
ancestors were "friends" with the Vikings?
My daughter doesn't appear to have inherited this trait but my son is showing
signs of sneezing at bright lights (he is 4 weeks old).
What is the evolutionary advantage?
Is this why the Vikings always sailed west, to avoid the rising sun? :)
