Then why is it that so many of the cases do not occur when the person
is in a sleeping mode (e.g. the Hill abduction)? Why the common imagery
(which can't be blamed on TV is the imagery goes back thousands of
years)? Yet these cases are indistinguishable from the cases you speak
of.

I think you're probably too optimistic.  The Condon Report couldn't explain
25% of the cases.  Project Blue Book only did somewhat better at 20%
(if I remember the numbers correctly). A highly conservative estimate
would probably be 10%.  And that's assuming that the explanations are
correct (many time they are demonstrably not).
