MOSCOW INTERNATIONAL NEUROREHABILITATION CENTER
Association for Inpatient Psychological Care (AIPC) and Business Center
"Neurosurgery" invite you to take part in the program "Moscow
International Neurorehabilitation Center" (MINC).
The Program MINC foresees a project creation, construction, equipment, and
common work in the unic educational, scientific and treating organization.
The main mission of MICN should be to increase social integration process
for people who are disabled because of the acute brain disease and
connected neurosurgical intervention.
The MINC will be built close by Burdenko Neurosurgical Institute which is
worldly known due to high level of diagnostic and treatment technology,
researches in the field of brain science and strong interprofessional
connections.
MINC must have the international status because of stability, longitude and
efficiency which are common for such forms of common activities. The
international program has the strongest backgrounds for a certain field
development as any joint work of different cultures, scientific schools and
practical directions with the same subject. And yet there is really a huge
deficit in the field of the integrated and integrative human being
knowledge. It seems impossible to restorate, to readapt, to give to brain
damaged person a chance of the second life in all its completeness without
side-by-side work of the international team.
A joint state, public, charital, and private financing for expansive
researching allows to develop this science field and it's practical
directions.
For the development Neurorehabilitation it would be very useful to have
information exchange inside international rehabilitation teams and to
educate each other during long-term common work (6-12 months). This Program
will help to Russian medical arrangement, as though at the moment Russia
owns a set of unical techniques and specialists but the last are few and we
need in "from-hands-to-hands" fast educational system.
The administration groups of Business Centre "Neurosurgery" and Burdenko
Neurosurgical Institute highly estimate this project as they recognize all
it's advantages for the future.
Now AIPC negotiate with Moscow government and some international funds
about their participation in MINC project.
MINC conception bases on the modern program-team approach. At the first
step 8 main treatment programs will accept disabled persons suffered of
brain injuries, cerebral vascular accidents, brain tumors. There will be
three main kinds of rehabilitation: in-patient, outpatient, and for daily
staying.
We intend to have rooms for 50 patients in different departments:
Children's, adult's and vegetative state department.
There must be enough area for all kind of treatment and for investigation
measures according the international standards. Premises for training,
education, and discussions of specialists will be situated close to medical
departments.
The important part of MINC will be The Museum of former patients' art "The
Nature of Creativity". It will serve not only for treatment purposes, but
for attracting attention of humanitarians to rehabilitation goals.
The staff structure of MINC should be composite: Employees of care service
will be in stable staff:; another creative part should be engage on the
contract background by Governments and international organizations. Some
authorities in the field should be invited for short term teaching and
consulting. Some consulting job would be done by Burdenko Institute
physicians. Post graduated students from all the world should represent the
largest part of the staff.
