Nope, I didn't misinterprete it, but since I don't post here very often, I only
wanted to give you my point of view on alien life since I guess you didn't know
whether I was a believer or sceptic towards the existance of alien life. Of
course, considering the rest of my post, my point of view was very obvious so,
euhm... my explanation was kind of unnecessary.

I enjoyed reading your points of view and I misjudged them based on one
statement.
I completely agree with what you said.

Of course ! Sorry, I'm not American, I always thought that NSA was part of the
government. Ain't it?

I understood that from your previous remarks (which I snipped to keep this post
a bit shorter)

Well, in fact it were the words "WHO CARES!" that give me the hint. To me your
statement sounded like "Who cares whether or not they are visiting us, let's
just benefit from their technology!". It gave me the impression all you cared
about was the technology and not the life who created that technology. I admit I
misinterpreted that statement.

Well, I would have dropped the "who cares".

I doubt their technology will be used for that purpose. For many problems there
are solutions but they aren't used. If all the money we put into warfare and
weapons would be used for a better cause many problems could be solved but it
doesn't happen. I probably put it in a simplistic way but I'm sure things can be
done but apparently, the human race (as a whole) is too stupid to do something
and those who try just don't seem to be able to make the difference. Although I
might be wrong, I very much think that a superior technology will be used to
create more powerfull weapons and other stuff (not all negative) but I doubt
they are gonna use it to save starving children or to stop the destruction of
the rain forests because we don't even need it to solve these problems.

I'm pretty convinced by now you are not :)

Ok, I withdraw that statement !

And I very much doubt that we need Mr. ET's technology to feed them.

Well, I'm just a simple human being and I'm not familiar with these theories but
I'll try to do some research.

That would be nice. I can't wait to hear them.Besides, I never said the quibble
over the existance of aliens was more important!

All, these explanations because one "who cares"! :)Well, I enjoyed reading them
and I must say that I agree with you very much.
And I really do hope that an eventual alien superior technology will be used for
the good causes like helping starving children and such (I am no scientist so I
wouldn't be very good in doing the research you do) but I, personnally, don't
give it much of a chance that it will be used that way on a major scale. If it's
a hidden human source, it would prove only more that it wouldn't be used for
those purposes, otherwise we should've used it already a long time ago but
again, other items seems to be more important.

You're welcome. Have a good Saturday! :)
And Easter weekend!
