Hmmm. We know so little. I think that there is a possibility that
we may be constantly experiencing and interacting on levels and
in ways of which we are not consciously aware, and some "past-
life experiences", abductions, etc. might be reflections of this.
And in our attempts to understand our vague awareness of this
"other" level interaction and experience, we try to explain it in terms
of the kind of experience/interaction we are consciously familiar
with and can understand. Hence stories about "past lives", etc.
It seems to me that the ego-based-consciousness (and i don't
know if I am using that term in a strictly correct sense, psychologically
speaking) of which we are aware every day, identify ourselves, and
use to get around and work in our daily environment may be only the
tip of a huge iceberg.
But who knows?
