I think referring to any form of neural activity in a percentage manner is
somewhat unfounded. Neural activity is far too temporally variable. It
might however, be appropriate to take estimates of the percentage of
dopaminergic neurons in a particular part of the brain. As a whole,
however, percentage values tell you nothing. Regardless, the
neurotransmitter dependent activity has to operate at a receptor site, and
the are 5 or 6 known D receptors all in different brain regions. Good
