Hi!
I have been trying to conduct some basic pharmacological experiments `in
vivo' on the spinal interneurones using multibarrel electrodes made using
the electrode puller(Narishige)
I am using a 4-barrel electrode with Muscimol.HBr(MHBr) and
Bucuculline.CH3I(BMI) in
2 of them and one for stimulating and the 4th for balancing. I wanted to
know if any one had any ideas about how much retention and ejection
currents are required for MHBr and BMI ejections. The concentrations were
10mM and 1mM respectively.
we want to be stimulating with upto 20micro amps of current.
Also how do you get the electrode to be nice and perfect but at the same
time have a very low impedence to allow a current upto atleast 20 micro amps?
I shall be extremely grateful if you could give some tips in this matter
as it has held up my work towards the thesis.
thanks.
