SRY is on the Y chromosome and thus cannot be expressed in brains of XX
females who have normal X chromosomes. A recent article in American
Journal of Human Genetics reported SRY expression (mRNA?) in early human
embryos (2 cell?). C Pilgrim and colleagues have published a series
of articles about SRY expression in brains.
