A colleague has requested information on an appropriate anesthetic for use in
adolescent to adult mice. He will be making small injections in the caudate
and thus the use of inhaled agents is probably not possible without additional
complications. Injections take ~ 20 min to accomplish. He wishes to avoid
ketamine because it interfers with NMDA. Several anesthetics have bee used,
but mice seem susceptible to respiratory distress. Thank you for any
suggestions.
