Hypoxia

She is slowly improving! (is alert, tracks eyes, responds to name, swallows,
aware of both arms, uses rt arm to lift spoon to mouth, brush to hair, can sit
upright ind. for 20 minutes, responds with laughs to family history jokes)

It is her expressive language that she really frustrates with. We know we will
not know if this is to return, but would like more knowledge of what the brain
is doing. Does it compensate for injury? Do endorphins from laughter help
recovery?

We of course have had neuro consults, but their basic message is time. We
clearly know that factor. Knowledge helps us. Please respond via email if you
can. We know this is an unusual post, and apologize for using it for seeking
help as parents. We are desperate. Michael
