You should be able to get this cell line from ATCC, you may also try SK-N-SH
which was derived from the parent line SY5Y. I've used both these continuous
cell lines and was able to differentiate them with retinoic acid to neuron-like
cells and flat glial-like cells. They will stain positively for NSE, Vimentin,
and acetylcholinesterase.
