available immediately to study the regulation of vasopressin synthesis.
Research will examine effects of age and physiologic environment on
vasopressin gene expression and hormone release. Experimental measurements
will include solution and in situ hybridization for vasopressin mRNA (exon
and intron), as well as hypothalamic peptide synthesis rate and pituitary
levels in the rat. Candidates should hold a recent doctoral degree (Ph.D.
or equivalent) in a relevent discipline and experience with basic molecular
biology techniques is strongly preferred. Salary and other financial
