I have a graduate position available for a Master's or PhD student to study mechanisms of oil production and recovery from bacteria. This work is in collaboration with a group from the Department of Chemical Engineering and the Department of Biochemistry at Mississippi State University and is supported through the DOE. A background in microbiology, in particular bacterial genetics and physiology, is required.
The candidate must be well motivated and also must meet the minimum qualifications for admission into the Department of Biological Sciences' graduate studies program.
