I am currently looking into buying a DGGE system for microbial community
analysis. As I can see it, there are three options: the CBS system which may
be the cheapest, the BioRad DCode system, which is widely used, and the
Ingeny PhorU system.
At the moment, I like the Ingeny system, since it seems robust and has the
option to load more samples than the other two (there are 20-, 32-, and
48-well combs available). Disadvantage might be that the gels are sometime
too big and that the system requires to much buffer.
Has anyone worked with one or more of these systems (or others I don't know
of) and can give me some hints or opinions?
Regards and thanks,
Stephan
