This is a two part question. I want to do a plaque assay for vaccina. I
was wondering if anyone knows if plague assay is more sensitive for MVA than
TCID50? In addition, if you have experience doing MVA plague assays, what
type of agar do you use and what would you suggest for doing plaque assays
with CEFs? Are there any additional tips that you might have with doing
plaque assays with CEFs and MVA?
I've used Oxoid agar in the past, but I don't know if it was Oxoid agar No.
3 or what. It was just called oxoid agar. Do you think this would work
with this plaque assay or is there another "oxoid" agar or another agar that
would work better?
