For years I've purchased the 5mm filter paper discs for doing
disc diffusion antimicrobial assays from S&S in boxes of 1000. It
appears S&S has been purchased by Whatman, which now sells the same
discs for the same price per box, but their box now contains 100
discs. I won't pay a 500% price increase if I have to cut my own
discs with a cork borer. Suggestions for alternate vendors of discs,
