Simple approach to start... assume that transposons insert at random
and that genes are all of same size (and that all insertions are
"knockouts"). Then use Poisson distribution to calculate probability
of a gene remaining unhit as a function of average number of
transposons per gene. The real world will undoubtedly make it more
difficult than the calculation suggests, but it gets you started.
