I am trying to amplify total genomic DNA extracted from soil using archeal 21f and 1392r primers. I expect to get a product ~1400 bp long but I keep on getting small fragments 200-500bp long. Should I extend the extension time? http://biowww.net/mynews/tree.php?group_name=bionet_microbiology&begin=0
