Hi,
I am a computer science student who wants to get started with
computational biology. I have begun with reading but got stuck on the
term 'promoter region', which is not explained any further and I can not
find a plain explanation on the internet. Could you point me to an
introductionary text (preferable on the internet) where this is explained?
I guess that a promoter region might be a region in DNA which promotes
the expression of a gene... how close am I ?
