Take, e.g., "one gene - one protein - one trait" road first, and discuss why
this concept is not true for some cases. For references start with
textbooks, then read recommended literature, then read your lecture notes
again, then check Pubmed for relevant articles, etc ... in other words go
several circles, but not too fast :-)
