Post-doctoral Scientists (Gene Delivery) - British Columbia

We are currently seeking two post-doctoral scientists to conduct basic
research in support
of the development of novel lipid-mediated systems for nucleic acid
delivery. The successful
applicants will have a Ph.D. in the biological sciences, with 0 to 3 years
post-doctoral
experience in biochemistry, cell biology, gene delivery or protein
therapeutics. As a member
of our Research group, you will independently design and implement studies
addressing the
mechanism of action of non-viral gene transfer. You will collaborate with
local and
international academic groups that share an interest in elucidating
intracellular delivery
pathways. The successful candidates will have a thorough understanding of
membrane
biochemistry as studied by subcellular fractionation, photomicroscopy or
FACS. Mammalian
tissue culture and transfection assay experience are required. Familiarity
with liposome
technology would be an asset. Excellent oral and written communication
skills are expected,
as publication will be encouraged
0 to 3 years post-doctoral experience in biochemistry.
