I have a spread sheet listing in alphabetical order
several hundred genus names of microorganisms. This was dumped from a
database which contains over 30,000 listings of microorganisms. What
I need to do next is add to this list whether each of these is gram
negative - or gram positive - or a fungus - or a protozoan. So
aside from looking up each individually in Bergys, is there some
faster way of finding this information? Does anyone know of an
electronic listing of microorganisms in alphabetical order that
contains the organisms' gram status? Something that I can run my
eyes down the list quickly and pick off the ones I need, and does not
require that I key in each genus name? Thanks for the help.
