Microbiology Laboratory: Laboratory Manager
£18,000 - £26,000 p.a. (depending on experience)
Permanent
Our laboratory is primarily concerned with the study of free-living
protists. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain the laboratory
infrastructure and to manage the documentation for
health and safety legislation. Additional duties are to maintain the
laboratory culture collection and to assist in various research
programmes as time allows.
You will possess appropriate educational qualifications and have some
practical experience of microbiological work. Basic aseptic technique is
essential, but training in other processes will be
available. The lab mainly uses Mac computer systems and an ability to
work with computer databases will be a distinct advantage.
