How much are you paying to take that course?  Do you really feel you are
getting your money's worth?  Camp on the instructor's doorstep until your
questions are answered.  If that doesn't happen in short order, make an
appointment with the department chair.

Students who post to the Internet to gain an education are pretty much asking
for whatever mush they get, but an instructor who "doesn't have time" to
answer his/her own student's questions is doing a pretty poor job.
