opening for an Experienced Med Tech/Medical Technologist/Clinical
Laboratory Scientist/CLS Supervisor/Manager/Director for a dynamic and fast
paced company in the North Bay. This position can be either part-time or
full-time hours.
Description:
· Manage the Microbiology Department including writing procedures,
SOP's, protocols, and setting employee schedules
· Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing,
culture work up, reporting and maintaining records of tests results
· Adhere to the laboratory's QC policies, document all QC activities,
instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance performed
· Be capable of identifying problems that may adversely affect test
performance or reporting of test results and correct the problems
Requirements:
· Valid California Med Tech or CLS License
· Experience with culture work up
· Experience with troubleshooting difficult identification
· Experience with assessing culture results
· Supervisory or Director Experience is a Plus
· Must have VERY strong Micro skills in order to run the lab
