Put > and sequence name (any you want) on a line preceding the line where
you sequence begins. This way you get a so called Fasta format that will be
understood by alignment programs.
Example:
1) your file with sequence:
ABCD
2) Should be:
>Xiangzhen's sequence
ABCD
You may even omit the sequence name. However, > is important.
That's it.
