 You probably mean Acinetobater anitratus.  this is also sometimes called
Acinetobacter calcoaceticus.This is a gram negative bacillus which is
commonly found in soil and water.  It is non-fermentative and oxidase
negative and grows on a wide variety of culture media at a range of
tempertaures. It is not usually pathogenic to hmans but can cause occasional
infections in patients who are hospitalized or immunosuppressed. These
bacteria are often resistant to the commonly used antibiotics.
