A niger is a bit dangerous to be doing this kind of thing. You don't
quantitate hyphal fungi in the same way you do for yeasts and bacteria. Your
plate or tube will probably have one large colony with billions of spores
just waiting to be released into the air. A. niger has been know to cause
infections. I think you need to re-read your protocol or ask your prof or
teacher about this. I don't like to play with molds any more than I have to.
