The use of Horse Blood Agar is very rare in the US. We have a difficult time
getting supplied. We did have a good media house located in our state, but
they went out of business. Now we get our media from PML and they tell us
that most of the horse blood is sold in Canada. Ours has to be shipped in
from Oregon (3,000 + miles away).
