Stephane, I work for Oxoid and they have a long list of three letter codes for antibiotic discs. Try contacting them through their web site www.oxoid.com for more information.
In my lab we use a standard three letter code for organisms. The first letter comes from the genus and the other two are the first two of the species. This is not a universal system, it is one I drew up myself, but it is easy to use
For instance Streptococcus pyogenes becomes SPY. There are some species that can be confused by this method and an additional letter is added onto the end, namely Enterococcus faecalis (EFAS) and Enterococcus faecium (EFAM).
