I am a biology student. I have a question about the extracellular enzyme
of fungi.
Conceptually, mammal and fungi secret extracellular
enzyme for digesting food. Mammal have a relative long
alimentary track that allow the rebsorption of the enzyme.
But what about fungi? Do fungi have any mechanism to
reabsorb the protein? If not, then fungi always lose their
protein for nutrients?
