You could trying adding amphotericin B to the medium, in concentartions of
between 0.25mg/L and 2mg/L. Although filamentous fungi are often
susceptible to amphotericin B yeasts are usually more susceptible, so you
may be able to inhibit the yeast allowing isolation of the fungus.
