The standard text on yeast taxonomy is:

The Yeasts, a taxonomic study.

The 3rd edition (about 1986?) was edited by N.J.N. Kreger van Rij
The 4th edition (about 1997/8) was edited by Jack Fell and Cletus P.
Kurtzman

You'll find a standardised description of each species along with synonyms
etc.
