It is known that microorgansims can produce extra-cellular
polysaccharides. I would like to isolate some of these organisms. I
have one isolate from soil but it does not give polysaccharaide in a
liquid medium. What could be the possible sources of organisms in
nature ? I should think exposed surfaces of vegetables or any such thing
may work ?
please does anyone know of any such work done as to why they produce
extracellular capsules??
