Sorry... could not pass that one up!
Anyway... assuming the question was about sterility and not the glassware, I
would venture to add that it depends on the follwing:
1. Storage condition
2. Type of "shelf", eg. open, cabinet type, sealed doors, etc.
3. Sterility of the shelf itself.
4. Condition of the lab
5. How the glassware was wrapped up prior to sterilizing it
6. Distance between the autoclave/sterilizing facility and the final storage
place; and the condition of the intervening space in between.
etc., etc.,....
the other guy on my shoulder is tempting me again ;>
So... I'll stop here.... the point is made...
