Microbiologist V
A Microbiologist V position is available for developing a vaccine
against the pathogenic fungus Coccidioides immitis. Project
encompasses the isolation and characterization of genes that encode
immunoprotective antigens, identifying gene-induced host responses
using a murine model of coccidioidomycosis, and modifying genes as
needed to potentiate vaccine efficacy. The position is in the
Department of Clinical Investigation at the Texas Center for
Infectious Disease and is funded by a five-year grant. Annual salary
is $37,308 plus fringe benefits. Preference will be given to
candidates with a doctoral degree.
Research Specialist I
Seeking a molecular biologist for project to develop a vaccine against

vaccine recipients. The position is available at the Texas Center for
