As part of my A-level course in biology I must carry out an individual study
into a biological topic of my choice. I wish to investigate either the
effects of two different disinfectants/antibiotics of the growth of a
bacterial culture or the effect of one disinfectant/antibiotic on two
different strains of bacteria. I would really appreciate some advice on how
to carry out one of these experiments successfully with the equipment
available in a 6th-form college lab, such as which bacteria to use, what
chemicals, and what conditions or anything else that might be useful.
