Finding the best treatment for the infection involves submitting the organism
(S.aureus) to be cultured and for drug susceptibilities to be performed. This
will tell the clinician what is the best course of treatment to prescribe.

Staph aureus can be very resistant to several antibiotics, so it is essential
for susceptibilities to be done to assure that the correct ones are used for
treatment.
