Maybe someone out there can help with this ID. The colony morphology is
glabrous, containing white septate hyphae that appear to be sterile. The
reverse colony color is buff. Around the outer edges of the colony are hard,
black granules, I have been unable to crush them between slides. Their
appearance is like that of poppy seeds, same color and size. These granules do
not seem to be attached to the hyphae and can be shaken from the plate like
seeds. The original specimen was from a bronchial lavage.
Any suggestions as to the ID would be appreciated.
