Mast Cells

To keep it simple, it is a white blood cell that releases histamines during
an allergic response.  Degranulation is when a mast cell releases histamines
or other preformed mediators of allergic reactions by sensitized mast cells
after a second encounter with an allergen.  Hope that helped.
